C.A.R. urges CA Congress for Additional COVID Relief

Last week, the California Association of Realtors (C.A.R.) asked CA Congress for additional relief caused by the pandemic.

Specifically, C.A.R. is asking that the next relief package include funding for rental assistance and homeowners assistance programs.

By protecting people financially hurt by the crisis, the moratoriums on evictions and foreclosures have helped bring stability to housing.

C.A.R. also asked that Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the FHA purchase/insure mortgages whose borrowers have been forced to seek forebearance during COVID.

Finally, C.A.R. urged California Congress to continue to improve the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program by making it easier to access financial relief.
